Dr. Candace Love is a licensed clinical psychologist treating patients for over 30 years. Candace is the author of the book, “No More Narcissists: How to Stop Choosing Self-Absorbed Men and Find the Love You Deserve” (New Harbinger Publications, 2016) now translated into 4 languages.
Dr. Love is an avid animal lover, she rescues and rehabs feral cats, volunteers at WindWalkers Equine Assisted Learning and Therapy Center, a special place that provides equine assisted services for [dis]abled children and adults in the Colorado Roaring Fork Valley and the surrounding areas. Dr. Love assists with activities from therapeutic riding to all aspects of horse ranch work – which she absolutely loves, including mucking!
Dr. Love is a Certified Primary Care Behavioral Health Specialist, from The Center for Integrated Primary Care, University of Massachusetts, Medical School.
She is the founder and president of North Shore Behavioral Medicine since 2008. She is an Allied Staff Care Practitioner at Lake Forest Northwestern Hospital, in Lake Forest, Illinois since 2006. Dr. Love worked in Health Psychology as a research associate at Center for Health Improvement and Prevention Studies at the University of California San Francisco where she was involved in National Institutes of Health funded research studying improving the preventative efforts of health care professionals and health-related behaviors. Dr. Love is an author and co-author on empirical articles in peer-reviewed medical journals.
A current area of interest to Dr Love is helping individuals manage difficult relationships with others, often narcissists, whether they be intimate partners, family, friends or coworkers.
